Setbacks

I admit it, I haven't exercised in a week. I feel awful about it but I was just feeling down on myself because I'm not where I should of been in my weight loss journey/plan, but it's 100% my fault. I wasn't counting calories like I was in the beginning, and I started to have some wine a few times a week. Yuck. But luckily I haven't gained any weight, but I haven't lost any either.

I'm not going to be hard on myself about it, that will just make it worse. I'm just telling myself that it happens, I'm not perfect, and I'm moving on :) June 1st starts a new Brazil Butt Lift contest called something like "Best Booty on the Beach", and that's a great motivation. I always feel like I need some sort of concrete goal. So today I'm doing Bum Bum and taking my before pictures again. But this time I'm doing it in a bikini. EEEEEK. That way I will be able to see the changes in myself better then what I wore before. I'm going to try to take them by myself, I would be way to embarrassed to have my husband take my picture lol.

I also think breaking up my workouts will help. Today is Bum Bum and Tummy Tuck, and I never have enough time to do both PLUS take a shower before Zach wakes up so I feel to rushed and anxious. I'm strange, I know lol. So I'll do Bum Bum while Zach is sleeping, shower then later when they are out back or when Craig comes home from work I'll do Tummy Tuck.

I've  been doing Turbo Fire the past 2 weeks and I LOVE it. I'm seriously getting addicted to it. Even Ethan sings the songs from it. He goes "Mama! Who's house my house?" and goes "What's that from?" already playing trivia lol.

I went to a birthday party on Saturday and I was going to wear jeans, a tank and a cute lightweight short sleeved sweater thing (super super light weight) but I knew it was going to be at least 90 degrees and I'd die in that outfit. But I dont have much clothes that fit me right now, so I tried on a skirt that usually is to tight for me...and IT FIT. So I wore that and a tank and I was surprised how much smaller I'm looking in pictures.

I should of already lost more weight, but it's hard to give up my wine after a long stressful day :) My diet isn't to bad, but I think I still need to check out my portions. I'm going to try measuring my food for a week to REALLY see portion sizes and I bet that will be a nice dose of reality lol.

There is another Jean Queen contest from Brazil Butt Lift starting June 1st! I heard this time they are giving a prize to anyone who submits there day 1/30/60 pictures! That's awesome. I will definitely be doing it again, but more of a Turbo Fire Brazil Butt Lift hybrid. Basically I'll be making sure to do 3 days of HIIT and 3 days of BBL High & Tight. I'll figure out the rest, but my body seems to really love those 2 types of workouts.

I'm off to DMV now then I have a date with Chalene Johnson :)

Mocha Greenberry

Just a quick post before I go pick Ethan up from preschool. Zach slept the WHOLE time Ethan was at school so I got to workout (Turbo Fire HIIT 15, Sculpt 30), have some Shakeology and relax by myself for a bit. It's nice :) I SHOULD have been cleaning, but I like this better :P

I bought Chalene Johnson's (creater or Turbo Fire) book PUSH yesterday and I'm really loving it so far. So motivational.

I have a recipe for Mocha Greenberry! Stay with me here, really. It's gooood. I'm not the biggest fan of Greenberry (gogo chocolate!), so this was created on a whim because I was out of my sugar free vanilla pudding mix to make the Shamrock Shakeology. It tastes chocolatey without being TO chocolatey. If I drank this and did not know it was Greenberry, I would have no idea that it wasen't straight chocolate.

Or my allergies (or cold, who knows) is affecting my judgement lol.

Mocha Greenberry Shakeology

- 1 scoop (or packet) Greenberry
- 1 cup water (or if you like it thick, do  1/2 water)
- 1/2 cup any type of milk
- Small banana or 1/2 a big one
- 2 TBS sugar free instant chocolate pudding
- 1 TBS instant espresso powder
- 1 tbs peanut butter (I used Better n Peanut  Butter) you don't taste the peanut butter, it just cuts down on the Greenberry flavor in my experience.

Blend!

Menu Plan 4/23/12 - 4/29/12

Menu plan! :) I finally got my Shakeology last week and I feel so much better! I have so much more energy and feel less bloated and much more clear, no more "brain fuzz"!

If anyone wants an exact recipe, I can post it....just comment and let me know which one you want!


I'm not sure what this drink it, but it looks amaaaaazing. It would fit great with Sunday's Caribbean meal :) Looks like a whipped icy watermelon slushy!

Monday:
Breakfast: Shakeology (Choco Shakeology + Banana + Unsweetened Almond Milk + 1 TBS Peanut Butter)
Snack:1 apple and 1 string cheese
Lunch: Taco salad (greens + small amount of cooked chicken + black beans + hot sauce + salsa)
Snack: Chocolate vita muffin
Dinner: "Chicken Caccatorie" from the Turbo Fire cookbook. In your slow cooker add:

-2 chicken breasts
-4 zucchini
-1 onion
-4 garlic cloves grated in
-1 28oz can tomato sauce
- Salt, pepper, Italian seasoning.
Cook on low 6 hours (my slow cooker runs hot). Serve 1 cup chicken caccatorie with 1 cup cooked whole wheat rotini.I also sprinkle with red pepper flakes, I don't cook with it because it's to hot for the kids. 

Tuesday:
Breakfast: 1 whole wheat english muffin, 1 wedge laughing cow light swiss cheese, 1 slice tomato,1 egg + 2 egg whites. "Guiltless" egg muffin sandwich.
Snack: Chocolate shakeology blended with water
Lunch: Turkey Wrap (1/2 avocado, 1/2 cucumber, romaine, 1 tomato, 3oz turkey, 1tbs ranch, pepperoncinis), side of watermelon
Snack: 1 small sweet potato microwaved for 5 min, topped with 1tsp coconut oil and cinnamon
Dinner: Leftovers

Wednesday:
Breakfast: 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 chopped apple, 1/4 scoop vanilla protein powder, cinnamon
Snack: Fruit and yogurt/honey dip
Lunch: Greenberry Shamrock Shakeology
Snack: 1/2 cup brown rice with 1tsp soy sauce and 1tsp sesame seeds
Dinner: Egg drop soup and chicken yakisoba

Thursday:
Breakfast:  Chocolate shakeology with instant coffee and a banana
Snack:  Greek yogurt and watermelon
Lunch: Spicy black bean and sweet potato veggie burger, 100 calorie bun, lettuce, tomato
Snack: Salsa poached egg
Dinner: Tacos in low carb high fiber tortillas. Salsa marinated chicken breasts, diced up really fine then cooked in a skillet. Top with salsa, fat free sour cream, low fat cheese, hot sauce.

Friday:
Breakfast: Apple cinnamon yogurt pancakes topped with fruit
Snack: Chocolate Shakeology
Lunch: Taco salad
Snack: 1 apple with 1 wedge laughing cow light strawberry cream cheese
Dinner: It's my birthday so something special...not sure if I'm cooking (or my husband!) or if we are picking something up :)

Saturday:
Breakfast: Shamrock Shakeology
Snack Watermelon and greek yogurt
Lunch: Steamed veggies topped with ranch seasoning, side of brown rice mixed with 1 wedge laughing cow cream cheese, cheesestick
Snack: 1 slice whole wheat toast, 1/8 avocado + tomato slices
Dinner: Leftover tacos

Sunday:
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs/whites, 1 slice whole wheat toast, fruit
Snack: 1/2 steamed edamame pods, 1 tbs soy sauce
Lunch: Black bean sweet potato burger, 100 calorie bun, tomato. Small spinach salad
Snack: Chocolate shakeology
Dinner: Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Fresh Pineapple Salad, brown rice/black beans.

Kiwi Cream Greenberry

Another Greenberry recipe in my quest for tasty Greenberry goodness :) My favorite is still  Shamrock shake! I'm thinking of trying a Key Lime one next!



Kiwi Cream Greenberry Shakeology
1 kiwi peeled and roughly chopped
4 pineapple chunks (I used cubed pineapple from the can)
1 tbs sugar free instant vanilla pudding
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup water
5 ice cubes

Turbo Fire Brazil Butt Lift Hybrid

I've done 5 days of Turbo Fire now, but I think I'm going to do a Turbo Fire Brazil Butt Lift hybrid instead. I'm thinking of something like this:

I'm not sure if this is to much (or to little!) so I will try it for 2 weeks and see what happens. My rest days usually end up being sometime during the week since there are some days where I just cant seem to fit it in, and by the time the kids go to bed I'm beat. But I REALLY want to try Stretch 40, I'm so inflexible it's embarrassing lol.

Orange Cream Greenberry

Another yummy Greenberry recipe! I think the addition of sugar free vanilla instant pudding mix is what is making me love Greenberry, it cuts out any vitamin flavor/chalkiness :)

Orange Cream Greenberry Shakeology

1/2 cup water
Handful of ice (depending on how thick you like it)
1/2 cup low calorie orange juice
1 orange (I used 3 small Cutie oranges)
1 tbs instant vanilla pudding mix
Blend! :)

I'm going to have a tough time deciding on if I want to just go back to chocolate Shakeology or if I want to do the Chocolate/Greenberry mix. The only thing I hate is that the choco/greenberry mix only has 24 servings, while a bag is 30. Arg they should change that.

Ethan is at preschool and Zach is napping, so I'm going to be working out with TURBO FIRE! Today would be day #3 of Turbo Fire, but I've been getting over a bad cold and my workouts weren't 100% before....I didn't even finish them because I felt so lousy. I'm feeling MUCH better today so I think I'll just start day #1 over so I can at least finish the workouts.

It's tough though. I've never been a fan of cardio and not only is it cardio, it takes a lot of coordination. The starter videos and the "New to Class" option have helped me a lot because they really break it down....but it will take a few weeks to really get the moves I think. But I am doing better then I thought I would, and I LOVE the music, it really keeps you pumped up.

Greenberry Shakeology

This month I decided to try the combo Shakeology pack of Chocolate and Greenberry. I already looooooooove chocolate, but greenberry seemed interesting too. The first time I tried Greenberry I just mixed it with some almond milk in my blender bottle (just like I do with my chocolate Shako) and.....well.....I couldn't drink it. It tasted like chalky vitamins to me, I was shocked because chocolate is so good. My 16 month old loved it though!

I didn't give up on Greenberry, I thought I'd try blending it because Shako does really taste better blended. So I tried Chalene Johnson's Greenberry Shamrock Shake recipe. I'll be honest, I was scared lol. But it's AMAZING!!! It's so creamy and it really does taste like a minty milkshake. Don't be scared of the peanut butter in there, you cant taste it. It just adds some creamyness and tones down the greenberry flavor. For under 300 calories (I couldn't find the exact calorie count) this is not only the healthiest meal of the day...it's the most delicious! :)


Greenberry Shamrock Shake

    8 oz milk (almond, rice, soy, low/non fat)
    4 oz ice
    4oz water
    Splash of peppermint extract
    1 tsp all natural peanut butter
    2 tbsp vanilla sugar free instant pudding mix
    1 packet of Greenberry Shakeology
    Blend and enjoy!

Turbo Fire!

It's a strange night.

The kids are spending the night with my parents, and my husband has some work related travel in the morning (he has to get up at 2:30!) so I'm all alone. It's so weird! My plan for the night is to play some Star Wars online (lol nerdiness) and to check out MY NEW TURBO FIRE DVDS THAT CAME TODAY!!!!!

I'm so excited. Like seriously excited. If I had known about all the BeachBody programs when I started, I would of started with Turbo Fire. I've seen so many amazing videos/pictures etc of "before and afters" using Turbo Fire that I am pumped that in 90 days I could really look like a different person. My plan is Turbo Fire 6 days a week, and doing Brazil Butt Lift's High&Tight at least 3 days a week. That's my plan at least...it's hard some days scheduling workout with 2 toddlers and a husband who works 6 days a week!

I've also missed like 4 days of workout this week. Eek. I've been reeeaally sick....as in migraines for 2 days, then a fever cold the other 2 days. I'm feeling better today, and I know I'll be better by tomorrow so I can start Turbo Fire. I also need to do some grocery shopping, which I don't mind because it's 100x easier by yourself lol.

7 weeks down!

I still have another week before I hit my 60 day mark, but I was taking pictures for the Beach Body Photo a Day contest and I was surprised how much weight I've lost already. I should be getting Turbo Fire any day now and I'm SO EXCITED to blast all this weight off me, I cannot wait to see my 90 days of that!

I'm also thinking of doing the Shakeology cleanse which is basically 3 days of Shakeology for breakfast and lunch, fruit for snacks and protein and a salad for dinner. The only thing that's stopping me is that I do want my supply of Shakeology to last as long as possible lol :)\

This picture is just doing almost 60 days of Brazil Butt Lift, drinking Shakeology and watching what I eat. Although I kick myself now thinking of how much better I'd look if I had stuck to it 100% :)

Shakeology

Oh Shakeology....who could of guessed that a meal could cause so much controversy?! I've been out of my Shakeology for a week, and I've felt sluggish, bloated and I just had a general "fuzzyness" in my head that I used to have before I started working out and drinking Shakeology. Luckily I should get my Shakeology by next week :)



Why Is Shakeology So Expensive?

At face value Shakeology might seem expensive.  The total cost with shipping brings the cost of a bag to about $4 a serving. Did you know that Beachbody coaches get 25% off the retail cost, so you’re now down to $3 a serving?

OK, but let’s say you don’t want to become a coach.  There are many other things that cost $4 a day that people do not question. Additionally they are not as healthy or beneficial to your well being.  Let’s think of a few shall we? A cup of Starbucks coffee, a pack of cigarettes, right, how about a bagel and cream cheese at your local deli? Redbull? 2 5 Hour Energies?

Shakeology was designed to be a meal replacement shake.  Personally, I use it for breakfast and some lunches. Most meals cost more than $4.  When I buy lunch it usually costs me around $5 (plus I'd be buying for the kids, at home I would just make them lunch so it would save even more money) and even when I make my own lunch, it doesn’t come out to be much less.  So, using Shakeology as a meal replacement would actually save you money.

The cost of a home-cooked lunch or dinner: 6-8 ounces of chicken = $2.00 (and we are talking low-grade chicken), veggies= $1 (frozen veggies are really okay! hurray!) and 1 sweet potato = from .5 to $1.00. Total= about $3.4.

Next, let’s look at everything that goes into Shakeology.  Did you know there are over 70 ingredients that go into Shakeology?  Beachbody feels very strongly about putting the highest quality in their products and delivering them to their customers.  From the fitness workout programs to their nutrition supplement line.  These ingredients were chosen from around the world for their potency and bioavailability (the ability to deliver the nutrients your body needs).

One glass of Shakeology contains Protein and Essential Amino Acids to help build long, lean muscles and reduce food cravings; Prebiotics and Digestive Enzymes, which aid in improving digestion, regularity, and nutrient absorption; Antioxidants and Phytonutrients to help counteract free radical damage that can lead to degenerative diseases; and Vitamins and Minerals your body needs to function for optimal health.

I know someone who did an experiment and went to the grocery store to purchase individual items and make a Shakeology alternative.  This experiment cost him over $480!  $4 a serving is looking pretty good right about now.  Even if you could get the cost down and made your own, most likely the store bought ingredients are not sourced at the same high standards that Beachbody uses and are heavily processed to increase shelf life.  What that means is that much of the “goodness” are cooked and killed before they ever make it into the drink.  Shakeology uses the freshest of ingredients.

So what would you rather do, go to the grocery store and make a terrible tasting overpriced concoction, or have the purest, healthiest ingredients in a great tasting shake for just $4 a day?  That’s the same cost as a bagel and coffee, but much healthier for you.

What this all translates to is a low cost, filling protein healthy shake, that is low on the glycemeic index, and high in taste.  This is why so many doctors are actually recommending Shakeology to their patients.
So how can you say no to such an amazingly healthy product?  If you ask me, you really can’t put a price on health.

Menu Plan 4/9/12 - 4/13/12

I've been out of Shakeology for a week now (I should be getting more this week) and I cannot believe how different I feel. I feel all bloated, sluggish and just gross.....I guess my body got used to all the good nutrition! Here is the non Shakeology menu plan for this week:

Monday:
Breakfast: Egg white omelet with spinach and low fat cheese, watermelon
Snack: Pineapple Chobani
Lunch: Whole wheat tortilla, hummus, 6oz water packed tuna, kale all in the wrap.
Snack: Chocolate vitamuffin
Dinner: Chicken marinated in olive oil, lemon juice and rosemary. Roasted sweet potatoes and salad.

Tuesday:
Breakfast: Whole wheat toast, cottage cheese, melon
Snack: 1 scoop vanilla protein powder and water mixed in my blender cup
Lunch: Veggie burger, tomatoes, spinach, with a side of carrots
Snack: Broccoli dipped in hummus
Dinner: Tandoori chicken, daal, salad

Wednesday:
Breakfast: 1 cup Kashi, 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
Snack: apple with 1 tbs peanut butter
Lunch: 2 cups greens, black beans, cooked shredded chicken, hot sauce, salsa, fat free sour cream
Snack: 1 string cheese, 1 pickle...strange but it was quick lol
Dinner: Grilled burgers (mine was wrapped in lettuce) with tomatoes

Thursday:
Breakfast: Nonfat sugar free vanilla latte, apple
Snack: Greek yogurt, berries, sprinkled with oats
Lunch: Avocado Egg Salad Sandwich: In a bowl, lightly mash 1 hard-boiled egg, 2 hard-boiled egg whites, 1/2 chopped avocado. Stir in 2 tbsp chopped scallions, 1 tsp chopped fresh cilantro, 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard; season with black pepper. Make a sandwich with 2 slices whole-grain bread, egg salad, 2 slices tomato, lettuce.
Snack: PB and Apple Coconut Halves: Halve 1 apple. Top each half with 1/2 tsp peanut butter, 1/s tsp unsweetened shredded toasted coconut.


Dinner: Grilled tilapia with summer salad, brown rice

Friday:
Breakfast: Kiwis and greek yogurt, oats
Snack: Protein Shake
Lunch: Salmon and Apple Salad Wrap: In a bowl, mix 1 can (5 oz) skinless, boneless wild salmon, 1/4 cup each chopped apple and chopped celery, 2 tbsp chopped red onion. In another bowl, combine 2 tsp balsamic vinegar, 1 tsp olive oil, 1 tsp honey; season with black pepper; toss with salmon salad. Spread salad on an 8-inch whole-wheat wrap; top with 1/2 cup chopped lettuce; roll up. Serve with 1/2 cup broccoli dipped in 3 tbsp hummus.
Snack: 1 cup edamame, 2 tbs soy sauce
Dinner: Curried Lentils with Egg: Heat oven to 350°. Slice 2 carrots into 1/4-inch rounds. On a baking sheet coated with vegetable oil cooking spray, bake carrots until cooked through, 20 to 23 minutes. In a medium pan, sauté 1/2 cup firm tofu cut into 1-inch cubes (about 1/5 of a block), 1/3 cup chopped onion in 1 tsp olive oil until golden, 5 minutes. Stir in 2/3 cup boiled lentils, 1/4 tsp sea salt, 1/8 tsp curry powder. Place lentil mixture on a plate. In same skillet coated with cooking spray, cook 1 egg over easy. Place egg on lentils; serve with carrots tossed with a pinch each of curry powder, sea salt, black pepper.

Running?

I've never been a runner...in fact, I'm not a fan of cardio. I love weights and resistance training, but I need to get over the cardio distaste because I NEED it. Ethan starts preschool tomorrow from 9am-12pm and Zach will already be in the stroller (preschool is like a block away), so I'm thinking of maybe going for a jog. See how that goes. If I fit in a 30 min jog twice a week while Ethan is in preschool that would be great! 1 thing that might be a hindrance is the stroller though, even when I'm walking I'm constantly hitting the wheels with my feet! That sounds like an excuse, but we'll see if the logistics work out lol.

Rio Extreme!

I wanted to finish the 60 days of BBL just using these DVDs, but I've been eyeing the Rio Extreme workout for awhile now.....and I decided what the heck, I'll just get 'em. With my coach discount it is only $22. That's why I signed up to be a coach....discounts! :) I also picked up a medium strength - strength band. The DVD set comes with the yellow beginner one, but I thought I'd see if I can handle the medium! The deluxe DVDs comes with 3 extra workouts:

My "baby" starts PRESCHOOL on Tuesday, and he turns 3 on Saturday! I'm so excited, he's going to LOVE school and I cant wait to give him all the fun birthday presents :) One of the presents we got him was an orange yoga mat...every time I work out and use my yoga mat, he always says he wants an orange one so he can work out "Next to Mama". I found him an orange one with sunshine's on it from Amazon, which is perfect because he loves doing this kids yoga thing on Comcast on demand and they do this sunshine stretch move. Hopefully he will like it :)

This week starts week 7 for me. I have to admit week 6 didn't go so good, I had a few glasses of wine, pizza one night and I missed 2 days. Eek. I don't know what happened, I just lost focus. I'm back on track though and this week will be much better, and hopefully my DVDs will come soon so I can add them in!

I'm thinking of doing a fitness board in my room similar to this, but I didn't know if this was appropriate for an adult woman's room....not a teenage girl haha. I don't think my husband would care, and I think it would be nice to have an inspirational space that isn't online, but I'm not sure :P I DID buy a bikini though, my first ever. I'm no where near bikini ready, but I am not stopping until I am! :)

A missed workout

I didn't workout yesterday, and I feel guilty today. Arg. The kids just have been on some weird schedule lately, and they BOTH are working on molars so it's been cranky city over here. I will try and add 1 extra workout 2 different days next week to make up for it since the kids will be at their grandparents. Hopefully that will help. I'm starting week 6 on Monday so I'm so close to my 60 day goal, I don't want to mess this up!

I do need to go to the store and try and do some prep work in advance for foods, it's been to easy to just grab a veggie burger for lunch....I need less processed foods for sure. I'm going to do some more research on menu plans and start tracking my calories instead of guesstimating them, I think that will really jump start the weight loss.

I think I've finally decided that P90X will be my next workout! I've always admired the people who've accomplished that, so it would be an awesome personal goal to complete it. My husband was kind of talking about doing it with me, so I think it would be fun to have an accountability partner! At the end of April is when I'll be buying it, and maybe I can get a P90X challenge going!

Week 5, Day 4

I'm down another inch off my waist since Sunday! Maybe it could of been more if I didn't have a slice of pizza for dinner last night, or the 2 glasses of wine on Monday lol.

I added an extra weight to each ankle last night during High and Tight, and wow I felt it! I never feel sore the next day though, I feel like I'm pushing myself...but I'm not sore anymore. I do want to get a set of 8lb dumbells soon, we'll see if I can handle that yet though.

I finally decided to commit to being a coach! I'm so impressed with my progress so far, and I'm very impressed by Beach Body in general, I want to share it with everyone, and help everyone get healthy! I also will take full advantage of the 25% off products that I get, I want to keep drinking Shakeology and I am planning on getting another program at the end of April!

Menu Plan 3/19/12 - 3/25/12

I thought I would start sharing my menu plans for the week. For dinner, if it's not so calorie safe, I just have a small portion and either lots more of the veggie side, or add a big 'ol salad. If in doubt, add a salad!  Breakfast is Shakeology, I usually just mix in 1 cup vanilla almond milk, 1 cup water, 1 tbs instant espresso, 1 tbs greek yogurt and 1 scoop Shakeology in my shaker cup. If I feel like using the blender I do 1 cup water, 1 cup vanilla almond milk, 1 banana, 1 tbs instant espresso and 1 tbs Better 'n Peanut Butter. If I could get my hands on some PB2, I would use that instead!

Monday:
Breakfast: Shakeology
Snack: Greek yogurt and watermelon
Lunch: Veggie burger on 100 calorie muffin with 1 wedge laughing cow light swiss, tomatoes, spinach and mustard. Salad
Snack: Vitamuffin and 1 cup vanilla almond milk
Dinner: Baked chicken with roasted veggies, salad. Family will also have mashed potatoes.

Tuesday:
Breakfast: Shakeology
Snack: 1/2c low fat cottage cheese with 1/4 cup frozen (or fresh if they are in season)berries
Lunch: 100 calorie high fiber whole wheat tortilla, black beans, low fat cheddar, salsa, lettuce, avocado. 1 cup watermelon
Snack: 1 small baked potato with 1 tsp coconut oil and cinnamon
Dinner: 1 tilapia fillet sprinkled with Old Bay, steamed carrots tossed with rosemary and garlic, brown rice cooked in chicken stock. Family will have rice pilaf.

Wednesday:
Breakfast: Shakeology
Snack: Pineapple Chobani
Lunch: 2 eggs scrambled stuffed into half a pita with 1/8 avocado and tomato
Snack: 1 apple with 2 tsp Better n Peanut Butter
Dinner: Cook 2 chicken breasts at 350 for 40 minutes with 1 jar pesto. Shred and serve on top of whole wheat spaghetti. My serving will be very small, with a big side salad.

Thursday:
Breakfast: Shakeology
Snack: Greek yogurt with watermelon
Lunch: 2 cups greens, 1/2 c shredded cooked chicken, black beans, hot sauce, salsa, dollop of fat free sour cream
Snack: Carrots with 2 tbs hummus
Dinner: Bellpeppers, corn, black beans, pinto beans, chicken stock, oregano, cumin. Throw in crockpot as a southwest soup and serve with salad. Or quesadillas for the family.

Friday:
Breakfast: Shakeology
Snack: 1/2 cup steamed edamame pods
Lunch: Veggie burger on 100 calorie muffin with 1 wedge laughing cow light swiss, tomatoes, spinach and mustard. Salad
Snack: 1 medium pear with 1 wedge laughing cow Strawberry cream cheese
Dinner: Pork chops with sauteed apples. Roasted veggies (my favorite). Family will also have garlic bread.

Saturday:
Breakfast: Shakeology
Snack: 3/4 cup cubed pineapple and 1 string cheese
Lunch: 2 cups greens, 1/2 c shredded cooked chicken, black beans, hot sauce, salsa, dollop of fat free sour cream
Snack: carrots with 2 tbs hummus
Dinner: Leftover soup

Sunday:
Breakfast: Shakeology
Snack: 1 cup sliced strawberries and 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese
Lunch: 100 calorie whole wheat/high fiber tortilla, few tbs tomato sauce,  low fat mozzarella, turkey pepperoni. Bake at 350 until crisp. Serve with salad.
Snack: 1 cup fruit and 1 string cheese
Dinner: Coconut chicken (marinated in coconut milk, lime juice, pineapple juice) coated with a mixture of coconut and Panko bread crumbs. Honey mustard dipping sauce. Brown coconut rice with black beans. Sesame steamed broccoli.

Month 1 complete!

Today is week #5, day #1. I probably wont do my workout until my husband comes home from work tonight, 1 kid is napping and the other one I'm trying to get to nap....so I can get some chores done like grocery lists, meal planning and picking up the house a little bit. The boys will hopefully be staying a couple of days with my parents this week so I can get some deep cleaning done, and my husband and I can have some relaxing time! I miss them so much when they are gone, but it is nice to have a day or 2 off to do whatever I want, and not have to worry about schedules and tantrums :)

Today I am supposed to be doing Bum Bum and Tummy Tuck, but I did that yesterday and I'm soooo sore! I seriously dont think I could do Tummy Tuck even if I wanted to lol. Instead I'll do Cardio Axe and Sculpt (because I missed it last week!)....Sculpt is my favorite. I'm not the biggest fan of Cardio Axe because it's a little boring, it seems like the whole workout is just to lead you up to the last 10 minutes. Bum Bum is a cardio too, but waaaay more challenging. I'm STILL having to pause it, and I'm on week 5! My poor quads...that video is a quad killer haha.

9" down in 30 Days!!! But I've also GAINED a pound. That sucks. I know I've put on a ton of muscle though, and I do look leaner, and have less cellulite so I know it's working.

As you can see, there is not that much visible difference (except in my butt, which is lifted) but it's only been 30 days. I cant wait to see on day 60!

After I complete the 60 days, I plan on ordering another Beach Body workout, either ChaLean Extreme, P90X or Turbo Fire. I really cant decide! I'll worry about it in a few weeks though :)

Week 3, day 2

Today is week 3, day 2...and I haven't exercised yet. I'm SO exhausted. I dont know if it's from just for the first time in my life working out (around an hour a day) but I'm so tired every single day. Last night I was asleep around 10pm and I slept until around 6:30am, but I feel like I could go back to sleep for a few hours! My kids are napping so right now would be the ideal time to exercise, but I'm just looking at the Beach  Body site trying to motivate myself. I think part of the reason is that I really thought I would of lost more weight by now....I've lost a pound. I quit drinking, followed a healthy meal plan and with the exercising...I thought I would at least be down 5lbs. My husband just keeps reminding me that it's a 60 day program, not a 2 week program...so I have no right to be upset until it's done. He's right.

I would love to add Turbo Fire to my life, but Beach Body DVDs are so expensive. I know the whole "You cant put a price on your health!" line, but really....Beach Body DVDs are freaking expensive lol. Hopefully in April or May I can look into purchasing it.

I've been doing pretty good on my meal plan...and then I had to blow it with a half a grilled cheese sandwich. I just got home from the store, I was super hungry and my brain like shuts off when I'm hungry so I wasn't thinking clearly. Oh well, I'll just make sure no more slip ups for the rest of the day!

Shakeology!

I start week 3 on Monday of Brazil Butt Lift! I actually haven't lost a pound, but I am down inches! My butt already is feeling tighter and higher, I'm shocked....so glad I bought this program. I also am drinking my first glass of chocolate Shakeology. It's SUPER chocolatey, more then I thought it would be actually, I thought it would kind of taste like a SlimFast. I love that it doesn't taste like chemicals, it tastes like an actual real chocolate milkshake. I blended 1 scoop of Shakeology with 2 tsp instant coffee, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 water, 1 TBS of Better 'n Peanut Butter. YUUUUUUM!

I cant wait to start week 3! I'm halfway done with month 1, and I cant wait to take pictures on day 30 so I can see the difference more, and hopefully I will also be down some pounds. After I finish 60 days of Brazil Butt Lift, I'm going to get either Insanity, Chalean Extreme or Turbo Fire and do a hybrid of both programs. I'll have to research them more, but for now....I hear destructive kids.

Brazil Butt Lift

I'm on week 1, day 4 of Brazil Butt Lift, and I'm ALREADY seeing changes! I'm loving it. I'm pretty out of shape, so I've only been able to do 1 video a day (the guide has you doing 2 usually), but I'm hoping by next week I can start doing 2. I currently weigh 180, and my goal is 130....then we'll see from there. But seriously, this is the FIRST time that I've ever really committed to getting fit. I just canceled my Weight Watchers subscription because I wasen't getting anywhere with it. I love that with this program it has a menu guide to go along with the workouts....they've mapped out your whole month basically. It's perfect, I need to be told what to do when it comes to diet/exercise lol.

I actually joined the Brazil Butt Lift "Jean Queen" contest, where you just follow your routine for 90 days, and whoever looks best (or however they judge it) wins a $400 jeans shopping spree! I've already submitted my "before" photos, and in 30 days they have you submit another set, and another set in 90 days. I'm really hoping that this will help me stick to the program, knowing that there is more of an incentive. My real incentive though is to be able to wear a bathing suit and cute clothes this summer. Last summer was awful, I was so self conscious in my bathing suit, and I never even wore one to the beach, so I missed out on taking my kids in the ocean.....I was so depressed. I dont expect to look like a supermodel in a bikini, all I'm asking is to be able to look ok in a tankini.....good enough so I can feel comfortable to play with my kids in the pool!

So far I've ate today:

Breakfast:
1/2 cup old fashioned oats with 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Snack:
1 cheese stick and 1 plum

Lunch:
Whole wheat wrap (high fiber, low carb) with 1 tablespoon hummus, 1 wedge light Laughing Cow swiss cheese, spinach, chopped tomato, 2 slices thin deli meat and spicy mustard

Snack:
Vita top 100 calorie muffin (later I had some carrots and mustard....I felt really run down after working out)

Dinner will be a taco salad that will consist of mixed greens, chicken, salsa, low fat cheddar, and black beans.

I'm not sure how many calories that is, but I'm thinking it's ok. I just found my Brazil Butt Lift nutrition guide so tomorrow I can start following that better. My only real slip up so far is that I had some wine last night, other then that I've been pretty good at working out and eating right.

I'm so excited that I'm ALREADY seeing a difference, and it's only been 4 days! I need to go find a tape measure to measure myself so I can track inches too. I'll post before and after shots when I hit the 30 day mark :)
